Why tho?

Lets keep it simple and  brake this down into 3 categories
Why Would you do this?
How do i do this?
Where are the races?

First off, Why would anyone do this?

Anytime you can make a car lighter you're going to improve acceleration, braking, grip, and handling. Let's not forget air in your helmet is very nice.  Nothing is going to make your favorite car any litter then removing the body and replacing it with a cage. Most times a weight loss of 300-400lbs can be expected. The other benefit is that parts tend to last much, much longer. This keeps season long operating costs 300% cheaper than any other class.  Low vehicle entry cost and low operating costs are nice things to have. Drag generated by the tubes keeps the racing tight. If you screw up a turn no worries, just get into the draft and your right back in it.

You cannot get any better fun per dollar than exo kart racing.

A car like this can be built for under $3,000. Operating costs are almost nothing.

How do I get involved?

Options for becoming involved are have a car built, buy a kit, or build it from scratch. Having one built is the easiest, sit back, stroke a check and wait for a phone call. Krowrx specializes on building one off customer requested Exo cars. For the DIY mechanic, Exomotive Builds fabulous kits to convert Miatas into exocets. The 3rd way is do it yourself, just make sure to follow the rules set forth by the NASA-CCR (see rules tab).

Below are our links for the builders.

Or the DIY Guy Exo Karts can be made from anything. Civics, Miata, Bmw 325i, Ect...

Where is the racing held?

Right now we are racing with NASA-se (website nasa-se.com)  under the Time trials category of TTE. This allows us to have a non-nationally categorized event, but still collect Contingency prizes. Contingency includes NASA sponsors like Maxxis tires and Hawk brakes just to name a few.

Races are held all over the South east, for a complete listing follow this link here.

You will need to obtain a nasa TT license. Doing so can be done by attending any nasa event, doing hpde 1 and 2. then getting a check ride to run TT. If you're a considerate driver and listen to directions that can be done in 3-4 weekends.
